Touch The Stars

March 2 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Astronomy and space is a very visual science – we’ve all seen the incredible images of the Universe taken by telescopes like Hubble. But, how do people with limited sight discover the wonders of the night sky?

Join us for this drop event where Dr Matthew Allen will bring along some incredible activities that let you experience astronomy with senses other than your sight. You’ll be able to feel what the night sky looks like, hold Mars in your hand and test your skills at identifying real meteorites.

The event is open to everybody and is suitable for people with limited sight and everybody else. Matthew will also be able to answer any astronomy questions that you have during this 2 hour long drop in event. No need to book, just come by and check it out, any time between 10am and 12pm!

You can register interest in the event on the Eventbrite page.
