Tenovus Cancer Care have teamed up with Exitus Escape Rooms, a family run business and one of the newest escape rooms in Cardiff, to take over an escape room for Cardiff Science Festival, from the 15th – 18th Feb 2020. Visitors will be able to come and try our escape room for free during the festival and the changes will remain a permanent feature at Exitus as part of our on-going partnership.
The escape room showcases the work of Tenovus funded PhD students Alex Baker and Tabitha Cunliffe, supervised by Dr Alan Parker. Visitors will have one hour to crack the virus code and learn all about how viruses can be retrained to recognise cancer and completely destroy it, without infecting other healthy cells. They will have to help Alan and his team by saving the right virus from the broken incubator before the time runs out.
